Among the client’s priorities during the tendering process were accurate pricing, a detailed proposal and reliability. The company’s Environment, Health & Safety Manager, David Cleaver, was also keen to find a cleaning partner that cared for its staff and was ethically driven – much like Ishida – so we fitted the bill perfectly. One thing that’s been particularly valued by Ishida is our attention to detail; by providing the client with easy-to-understand manuals on all our processes, they can see exactly what they’re getting from their investment and can answer their health & safety inspector’s questions on cleaning procedures with confidence.

And while our contract with Ishida has a defined list of services to provide, we’ll always step up if we can. For example, when Ishida needed a quick turnaround on a drain survey in 2021, at another provider’s site, we stepped in and helped immediately. This kind of “stepping up” is something both parties do regularly: Ishida also agreed to spend more on our services to ensure both permanent staff and contractors can be paid the National Living Wage.

Successful businesses move quickly, and Ishida is no exception. This is why it’s important that Fidelis can respond quickly to enquiries and adapt to changing requirements. This is what happened when the company recently started its move to a new premises: we were able to provide the additional support they needed, sometimes with just an hour’s notice.
