COVID19 Secure School
During recent weeks it was essential to maintain high cleaning standards throughout the COVID19 pandemic during a time when schools have been closed.
We have been and continue to work closely with our team of operatives and the school to help the school maintain high levels of cleanliness and reduce the spread of infection with selected year groups returning.
Collaboration has been key to creating a new schedule of work and a plan that fits seamlessly and safely into a changing environment. Adjusting shift patterns have enabled social distancing through staggered start and end times in line with Government Guidance for Schools.
We have moved a staff member to start during the morning to clean and sanitise spaces after students had used them during the morning including classrooms, corridors, dining halls, washrooms and toilets along with high touch points.
This fitted in with the remainder of the team starting at the end of the school day to clean and sanitise the classrooms and areas used during the afternoon ready for the following day.
We aim to continue new working practices going into the new school year in line with government guidance to maintain a safe and clean environment for students and staff.
Alongside Ian and the team, we reviewed plans in the current climate to amend our cleaning requirements across the site and design a solution to ensure all rooms and spaces are cleaned thoroughly. This has been vital in preparing and maintain a safe and secure site for our students and teaching staff to return to.
